The festival of the cricket is all set to begin this October in Oman and UAE. The World test Champion, New Zealand has announced a very strong squad in their roster which includes 16 men. Though the heart of the team, Ross Taylor and the hero of the 2015 world cup Colin DeGrandhomme misses out this time, New Zealand still holds the top contender tag in this world cup.
Why New Zealand is the top contender
to win this World Cup?
The Kiwis after winning the
inaugural test championship against India recently are all boosted up to begin
their journey to win the maiden T20 World cup. Under the captaincy of Kane
Williamson, New Zealand has seen only one thing in these years, improvement.
Though their much-experienced player Ross Taylor and Colin DeGrandhomme are all
set to miss out on this event, still New Zealand are way too ahead of other teams.

Strong Point
New Zealand has undoubtedly
improved over the years under the captaincy of Kane Williamson. The fast pace
Kyle Jamieson has all the eye grabs over the world. Tim Southee along with
Trent Boult provides the pace and swing. Todd Astle and Devon Conway are the
power hitters. Overall, the Kiwis have a mix of hitter and pacer on their
squad.
Weak Point
Although the Kiwis are strong and
they are undoubtedly one of the strongest teams in the event. But they lack
experiences in the form of Ross Taylor and Colin DeGrandhomme. The sensible
Ross Taylor with his sensible mindset can turn the game to any point. But for
T20 World cup 2021, these two veterans are out and this may be a hurdle for the
Kiwis.
